Venus, aka Earth's evil twin. Although Venus is similar in structure and size to Earth, it has a thick atmosphere. Becasue of this, many greenhouse gasses get trapped and thus, Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system making it unable to support life. Temperatures in Venus on average are 867 degrees Farenheight. In 1961 and 1984, the Soviet Union created Venera, a mission created to send probes to Venus. (If you havent guessed it, Venera means Venus in Russian). The longest these probes have survived was 2 hours because it was too hot on Venus. Photos captured a barren wasteland with a yellow sky likely due to sulfur. The surface could be covered in valleys and high mountains.
