The Sun

Welcome to the Sun! This giant star is 4.6 billion years old. It formed from a cloud of gas called the solar nebula and swirled, eventually collapsing under gravity. It would then flatten out into a disk and become the sun we know. The sun's average temperate is 10,000 degrees Farenheight. Unfortunately, the sun will eventually die and become a white dwarf, a hot dense core. But that won't happen until 5 billion years pass.

The sun causes an intense burst of radiation coming from the release of magnetic energy from
sunspots also called solar flares as shown. These solar flares travel through space and become solar
wind. When they reach earth, they would collide with gasses in Earth's upper atmosphere and cause
