Welcome to the ISS! This is the largest humanmade object to orbit Earth. The ISS was not all built on Earth and launched into space. Instead, pieces were built here then launched to attached to the next piece, similar to a Lego set. Different countres such including the U.S., Russia, Canada, Japan, and the participating countries of the European Space Agency participated in building a piece for the ISS. From 1984 and 1998, the ISS under went designing and building it. Today, the ISS stil orbits Earth conducting research onboard.
